Publisher’s Message

Welcome to the 2007/2008 edition of the Edmonton Woman Guide to Leisure & Travel.

This is the fourth issue of the guide, a special publication of the Edmonton Woman magazine, which has a longstanding history of 13 years.

Women nowadays are not only working hard; they are also playing hard. They have ever increasing opportunities for travel, and are pursuing diverse ways to spend their leisure time.

This guide brings you essential travel information pertaining to new passport rules, health insurance, and vacation scams. With useful tools such as a listing of travel and leisure resources, a comprehensive travel packing list, the latest map of the River Valley parks, and tips for safe and secure travelling, this guide is a handy reference that you would want to keep on your desk for future reference all year round.

Of special interest in this issue are features on the RV lifestyle and an article discussing the factors you should consider when buying a vacation home.

If you have suggestions for the next issue of this guide, we would love to hear from you! Please send them to “Comments” – Edmonton Woman Magazine, #200, 10621-100 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5J0B3 or email abrnews@shaw.ca.

We hope you will find this guide both entertaining and useful.
